Curriculum

Saraswathy Vidyabhavan Central School provides innovative curricular programmes from kindergarten to Grade 10. The school offers a curriculum based on CBSE and Panchanga Sikshanam. The medium of instruction is in English. School hours are from 9.30 a.m. to 3.45 p.m.

As per the CBSE Guidelines, we follow continuous and comprehensive evaluation in the lower classes from grade 1 to grade 5. In the secondary classes, promotion is based on the total performance of a student in formative assessments (FA1, FA2, FA3 and FA4) and summative assessments (SA1 and SA2). Formative Assessment includes class tests, assignments, projects, seminars, discussion, debate, presentation and extracurricular activities. Continuous and comprehensive evaluation is a process to provide a holistic profile of learner through regular assessment of both scholastic and co scholastic aspect of development over the total span of learning time. It provides several opportunities to identify the latent talents of the learners in different domains.

Saraswathy Vidyabhavan Central School aims to bring up students through panchanga sikshanam – a special way of training which gives emphasis to following activities/lessons:

The above will equip them for life and for transforming them into a true patriot useful for the society and nation.
